The mission of the Farmington Area PTA Council is to be advocates for children by strengthening local PTAs, by impacting decisions on relevant issues at the local, state and national level, and by providing a forum for leadership development, information exchange, discussion and action on issues affecting youth and children.

PTA has been in Farmington Schools for 100 years beginning with Farmington High School. As the number of schools and PTAs began to grow, the PTA Council formed in 1956 to help focus the strengths of the local units and to provide training and resources.
